Come Along

Whether it's your first time at church or whether you're visiting us on holiday, here are a few FAQs that might help. '

What are the services like?

Family Service -this is a relaxed, informal service held every Sunday morning at 11:15 am and is for people of all ages and it finishes around 12:30 pm. During the service, the primary school children and secondary school children have the option of going to Sunday school or Youth Bible Class respectively.

We usually sing some songs, read the Bible and then listen to a speaker, usually, our Pastor, explain what it means and how it applies to us today.

Free refreshments (with real coffee!!!) are served at the end of the service for us to have a chance to catch up with one another.

Evening Service - during school term times we usually have either Bible based discussion groups or a typical evening service where there's a Bible talk. Details of which will be on the events list on this website and also our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Evening Communion Service?- this is held at 6 pm on a Sunday evening on the second Sunday of the month.  It's a time of open worship where we share bread and wine in commemoration and thanks for the sacrifice our Lord Jesus Christ made in dying for our sins.  It lasts for about 60 minutes.

What should I wear?

There is no formal dress code, please dress as you feel comfortable.

What is the music like?

We sing a variety of contemporary and traditional Christian hymns and songs. This is accompanied by the piano and guitar.

How is the communion service presented?

In the morning service when we have communion we use a loaf of bread (fresh, of course!) which is split open and distributed in baskets for you to take a small piece.  This is consumed together or individually, as directed by whoever is leading the communion.

The communion wine is passed along the rows of seats on trays filled with small individual cups. Please note our wine has no alcohol content.

In the evening communion, we have a time of open worship where people can select a hymn, lead in prayer, or share a passage of the Bible that particularly helps us to consider what our great God has done for us in Jesus Christ.  At this service, we also use a large single cup of wine which is passed around. Again, the wine has no alcohol content. This service lasts between 45mins to an hour.

Do I have to give money?

We have a collection during the service for those who wish to express their worship to God in this way and to contribute to the ongoing work of the church. But you are under no obligation to give.

We also have a collection box at the back of the church.

Parking

Please Note: There is very limited parking in a small area at the side of the church, and two spaces on the road at the front of the church.  All of this parking is reserved for the elderly and disabled.
